Bayern München defeated the hometown FC Köln 2-3 (0-0) on Sunday in Bundesliga action.

The first half was goalless, but straight after half-time, Robert Lewandowski made his mark as he found the net, with an assist by Jamal Musiala, to give Bayern München the lead.

With more than 30 minutes on the clock, Bayern München’s Serge Gnabry scored, from a pass from Thomas Müller, and increased the lead.

With 30 minutes on the clock, FC Köln’s Anthony Modeste netted and plugged one back for FC Köln.

FC Köln equalised to make it 2-2 just two minutes later as Mark Uth scored, with an assist by Kingsley Ehizibue.

Serge Gnabry scored the deciding goal in the 71st minute. This brought the final score to 3-2.

Bayern München got their first win of the season and are on four points. FC Köln have three points after two rounds of fixtures.

The last meeting between the teams ended in a 5-1 home win for Bayern München in February 2021.
